Avril Lavigne (Whibley), mult mai bine cunoscută sub numele său de naştere Avril Lavigne ( n. 27 septembrie 1984, Belleville, Ontario, Canada) este o cântăreaţă şi muziciană din Canada.
Iniţial era cunoscută pentru stilul ei „skater punk”, mai ales în melodii precum „Sk8er Boi”, deşi în ultimii ani a adoptat o imagine mai feminină. Cele două albume ale ei, Let Go (2002) şi Under My Skin (2004) au ajuns nr. 1 în multe ţări unde au fost lansate. Cel mai recent album lansat de cântăreaţă se numeşte The Best Damn Thing.
Deşi numele ei de familie este de origine franceză, Avril nu vorbeşte limba franceză şi îşi pronunţă atât numele cât şi pronumele ca în limba engleză.
Lavigne s-a căsătorit în California în 15 iulie 2006, cu Deryck Whibley, un alt cântăreţ canadian, component al formaţiei Sum
